Your prices, costs and margins are some of the most sensitive information your business holds. These are the commitments Owómidé is being built and tested against, before any customer data is used.

Our commitments

Twelve commitments to your pricing data.

Each release must pass verification in every area that applies to it before it is used with real customer information.

Your organisation, isolated

  • Every organisation's users, prices, costs, proposals, decisions and history are kept separate from every other organisation.
  • Permissions are checked by the system on every action, by role and by scope, not left to written procedures.
  • Cost data stays hidden from people without permission, including in exports, AI answers and figures it could be worked out from.
  • Sign-in is protected against password guessing and other abuse, and sessions are protected.

Security by design

  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Production systems are separated from testing, with least-privilege access for people and services.
  • Uploaded files are checked before use, and the product is protected against common web attacks.
  • Security checks, including dependencies and known vulnerabilities, must pass before a release goes live.

Privacy you control

  • We collect only what the product needs, and keep personal data out of logs and diagnostics.
  • Where your data is processed is identified, and processing across borders is controlled.
  • Your data is not used for any secondary purpose, and production data is never copied into test systems.
  • Owómidé support access needs your consent, is limited to a stated purpose, is time-boxed and appears in your access log.

AI with limits

  • Your Account Owner sets one policy: AI disabled, AI without cost and margin data, or AI enabled.
  • AI only sees what the person using it may see, and only as your policy allows.
  • We only use AI services whose terms prohibit training on, or reusing, your data.
  • If an AI service is slow or fails, every non-AI part of the workflow keeps working.

Reliable, and recoverable

  • A consequential action counts only once it is safely saved, and is never applied twice.
  • Failures are contained, so one failing service does not bring down the rest.
  • Backups are protected, and restoring them is tested before release.
  • After any recovery, decisions and external outcomes are reconciled before work resumes.

Made for unreliable connections

  • Waiting is bounded, and a failed connection is reported clearly.
  • Retrying after a dropped connection cannot create a duplicate approval, export or implementation.
  • Work in progress is kept through short interruptions, and the true state is checked on reconnection.
  • Owómidé is not an offline app: decisions need a connection to be recorded.

Fast where it matters

  • Everyday actions, calculations, searches and work queues are held to response targets.
  • Large imports and exports run without blocking the rest of your work.
  • Capacity is tested against realistic catalogue sizes and team workloads.
  • Slow optional services, such as AI or connectors, never hold up core work.

Accessible to everyone

  • Built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with a full accessibility audit before the complete release.
  • Everything works by keyboard and with screen readers.
  • Text can be enlarged and pages reflow without losing information.
  • Proposals can be reviewed and approved on a phone as narrow as 360 pixels.

Records that last

  • Every consequential action is attributed and time-stamped, and history is never silently overwritten.
  • Records follow a defined retention and archiving profile, and archived records stay retrievable.
  • Records are disposed of only when authorised, and never while they must be preserved.
  • If a workspace closes, what happens to its data is defined in advance.

Careful change

  • Every release is identified, repeatable and checked after deployment.
  • Changes are assessed for impact and regression-tested before they ship.
  • Data migrations protect existing records, and work in progress survives updates.
  • Releases can be rolled back or corrected safely.

Watched around the clock

  • Service health, performance, capacity and background processing are monitored.
  • Alerts go to named owners, and incidents are diagnosed and recorded.
  • Backups, recovery and data integrity are visible to the team running the service.
  • Monitoring itself is kept from affecting your work.

Integrations that fail safely

  • Each connection has a defined identity, scope and access.
  • Data coming in is mapped, validated and checked for freshness and conflicts.
  • Interrupted or uncertain exchanges are reconciled, never guessed.
  • If a connector fails, CSV import and export remain available.

Before you start using the workspace, we will publish where workspace data is hosted, the providers that process it, and the terms that apply to it.
